Today's business climate presents unprecedented challenges to manufacturers. Intense pressure and globalization have created urgent needs to restructure and redefine manufacturing processes. To be successful, manufacturing engineers must be well-educated technically and have a solid understanding of business and management fundamentals and tools.
In this dual degree program, qualified students can pursue concurrent work in manufacturing engineering and business administration that leads to both a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing and a Master of Business Administration. The College of Engineering administers the M. Eng. and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business administers the MBA.
The program is arranged so that all requirements are satisfied simultaneously. This dual degree can be earned in two and one-half years by full-time students. It also is offered part-time through the Ross School of Business Evening Program. It is not open to students who have already earned either the M. Eng. in Manufacturing or an MBA. Students registered in their first year of either program may apply.
